Atlantic City Diaries: An afternoon at the Bungalow Beach!

A couple of weeks ago the boy and I took a vacation at Atlantic City, New Jersey. We practically drove through and covered 3 states; Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York in a span of 3 days because we live and work in the east. We will share detailed posts for the entire trip but for this edition fo Atlantic City Diaries, we bring you the Bungalow Beach Review.

After the famous Friday night pool party at Harrah’s resort and a post-party supper that lasted till the wee hours of the morning, we returned to our hotel, the New Orleans Mardi Gras themed The Showboat. We started the day around 11 AM and headed to the Tanger Outlets just around the corner to check out the stores before heading out to the Boardwalk. We walked along the dunes segregating the city from the cool, windy Atlantic waterfront. The boardwalk spanned a good distance and we hopped around from one shack to the next, purchasing trinkets, memorabilia and grabbing snacks and handmade ice cream.

We must have spent over 4 hours just hanging around there when the winds started soaring and we started discussing heading back to the hotel to get some rest and dress for the night. Just then, we decided to walk down a little further from Borgata and Caesar’s and ended up at this gorgeous place with a Mediterranean summer-like feel with an inviting, giant martini glass laid out front; The Bungalow Beach!

Intrigued we went in and checked out the hookah menu and ordered a double-apple with mint along with some Michelob. That’s our regular for trying out at new places because you usually can’t get that wrong. The ambiance and the staff were amazing and needless to say we ended up spending a lot of time there and making new plans about life in general. The fact that the sun was shining and we were sheltered from the cool Atlantic winds in our little greenhouse with space heaters, we were certain we couldn’t have wanted this trip to pan out any other way.

With a well laid out lunch and drinks menu, awesome service and great prices, The Bungalow Beach has to be on your to-do list for your trip to Atlantic City!

Stay tuned for more posts in this series!
