The Cakery’s Scrumptious Cupcakes Review!

It’s Small Business Weekday at TIB and we bring you a small business we recently discovered and absolutely loved!

Natalie Rose runs her baking business out of her home in Connecticut. I discovered her business, The Cakery while browsing online to order custom birthday bakes for my boyfriend. I found a few and after a bit of review, I settled up with The Cakery. I was a bit apprehensive about ordering from a bakery in a completely different city but went ahead an contacted the business owner through a form on her website. At this point, I must say the whole process was pretty streamlined. Once she responded, I wrote her an email with some ideas about coder/ Linux engineer themed cupcakes. She quickly grasped what I wanted and I told her that she could be as creative as she liked. She asked for a fifty percent deposit upfront that I paid over the phone.

Since I was going to be in the city for my boyfriend’s birthday, I collected the order from her home. The outcome was gorgeous. These 12 cupcakes have a vanilla base with chocolate chips and cool, customized designs. They taste absolutely divine!

They were an absolute hit with friends as well and made for a pretty cool accompaniment at the West Beach where we spent some time late in the afternoon after work, playing a game of chess and sipping some Mississippi Mud.

If you are in Stamford, Norwalk or Darien, do try out The Cakery!
